While we go school to learn about math, ELA, history, and more, we also come here to do sports, and try out for teams. We don’t have a baseball team, but that didn’t stop him. Even from a young age he was passionate at sports, being the athletic types. Usually when someone is athletic they don’t care about their grades, but Riley was different. He managed to be a good student, get good grades, and also have a nice personality.
While in middle school he had lots of teachers, but two of them are still working here today, when asked about how Riley was in class they stated the following. “A memory that I have is that Riley was a bit silly. I remember that he made me laugh.”- Ms. McConnell stated. Another one of his teachers was Ms. Smith-Davis. “ Riley was a good student, he paid attention even though he liked to talk to his friends a lot.”
Middle school is a hard time for some students, but Riley made it work. He is now 25 years old, a professional baseball player, and doing better than ever. People would have never guessed that he went to middle school in Lawton Chiles, and got good grades.
