What would happen if the bands of Lawton Chiles were to sit down and watch Hagerty’s band perform? Mass chaos? Weird peace? Summoning of instruments?
On December 5th, the Advanced, Concert, and Symphonic band classes were offered the opportunity to visit Hagerty High School for a preview of the second half of their Hagerty showcase. The bands presented students with multiple songs and performances. Their performances weren’t all on the stage however. You could see students everywhere. The bands played in small sections, an example being Saxophones. They played multiple songs, including Soda Pop and Star Wars Theme. Students watched happily, listening to the exciting music and watching the high schoolers play. As the final song ended, everyone clapped, enjoying what they’d just heard. Afterwards, Mr. Kuperman answered the questions of the band students here at LCMS. Finally, students walked back to their buses and got on, some still humming the melodies of the songs.
