On Thursday, December 11th, students from Theatre, Chorus, The Pantherettes, and Band all took a field trip to Oviedo High School to view their Winter Performing Arts Showcase. It was a trip full of fun and unexpected occurrences!

Bus Ride Fun!
When you put band, theatre, and choir kids on a bus, you’re sure to get some chaos. On the buses, people sang songs all together. On a band bus, students did a call and response of a popular army cadence, I Left My Home.
Showtime!
The whole showcase was a mix of performances from various band, choir, dancers, and theatre students. The show included all types of songs, from Christmas music (All I Want for Christmas is You) to show tunes (For Good). “My favorite act was the bands,” Says Andrew Baron (7), a Band Student.
Bus Chaos…
In the Oviedo High parking lot, one bus accidentally backed into another, making students wait for a long time in the bus. They missed a third of the show, but they still killed time while waiting. Owen Vargas (8), a band and chorus student said that while he was waiting on the bus, he was,“Singing the Army song and playing patty cake.”
The day was really fun for all the students and they enjoyed seeing what they could be doing in high school performing arts!
