October Band Concert

In this photo, Symphonic Band plays their exciting Halloween music.

On October 7, the LCMS bands played at their first concert of the year. Mrs. Kuperman and Mrs. Autrey worked hard to teach their students to play exciting music. At this concert, Jazz Band played first, followed by Advanced, Concert, and Symphonic bands. Jazz band played St. Thomas, Moondance, and Fiesta del Tigre. After they played, Advanced Band played Beethoven’s Ninth, Pirate’s Parade, and Zombie Stomp. Concert Band then played Dead Man’s March, Going Home, and Tuba in Cuba. Finally, Symphonic Band played March of the Hobgoblins, This is Halloween, Sketches of Canada, and they finished the concert with Skeleton Crawl. All four bands played entertaining fall music for this concert.

Sean Wright, a clarinet player in Symphonic Band says, “The concert went pretty good and I think I played well. There were a few mistakes, but other than that, it sounded pretty good.” (Mila Kiray)

Although Samantha Ingolia was not playing an instrument, she went to the concert. She says, “They all played beautifully together. I really liked, ‘This Is Halloween’.”

Mila Kiray is a 7th grade yearbook photographer. She has been in yearbook for a year and a half. In Mila’s free time she likes to write fanfiction, draw, read manga, listen to music, and watch youtube.
