Study, study, study, study. That’s all the teachers say in the week before the 9 Week Exams. You want to do well because they are worth 10% of your grade. Going through notes and past assignments is important because this test covers all you have learned for the past 9 weeks of school. Your teachers and parents want you to do well and anticipations are up. The questions is, are we taking it seriously enough?

Her favorite subject to test in is science. Lots of students study for the tests and Mikeila does so by using study guides from past units. Students all around campus are ready for their exams, exam schedules, and most of all, vacation.
Mrs. Capp, 6th Grade World History, says that the worst part about exams are that, “Some students struggle with testing, and it’s a large part of their grade.” After teaching for nine weeks, it is hard to see students not do well. Our teachers at LCMS want to see all of their students excel and they support their students so they can do that.
This quarter is special though. Seventh and eighth graders are taking the End-of-Course Exam (EOC). This is a huge test covering everything they’ve learned through throughout the entire year. The test is very difficult and many teachers give students huge study guides and practice tests to help their students prepare. The hardest part is remembering the things you learned in August all the way in May. The EOC is about 30%-40% of student grades.
