Excelling at writing? Not feeling properly challenged by the writing challenges in your ELA class? Or neither; maybe you just have to get ideas out on paper. If any of this sounds like you, you should join Creative Writing club! In this club, you get to practice writing and review other people’s work. Creative Writing club is led by Ms. Campbell, a 7th grade ELA teacher, who has always loved writing.

About the Contributors

Sadie Slater, Design Editor

Sadie Slater is in eighth grade and a design editor for the yearbook. She has been on the yearbook staff for the past two years and has attended Camp Orlando twice and Elite Weekend once. Even though she specializes in designing, she enjoys writing and photography, too. Sadie spent time over the summer choosing the colors and fonts for the yearbook’s theme so we could get a head start on design.

Chloe Snyder, Copy Editor

Chloe Snyder is an eighth grader from Lawton Chiles Middle School. Her position in the yearbook crew is Copy Editor, and she is also the Editor for the LCMS Newspaper. Additionally, in December of 2024, she published her first book, Turning Time: The Original Prophecy, which is now selling in a few bookstores across central Florida and on Amazon. In her free time, she likes to write, read, and play viola.

Ivy Vanderwalker, Photography editor

Ivy Vanderwalker is in her second year in Yearbook as an 8th grader this year. She serves as the classes Photography Editor. She has been in the staff for the past 2 years and enjoys it very much.

Emma Lynn Morris, Staff reporter

Emma Morris is an 8th grader finishing up her first year in yearbook at Lawton Chiles. Emma participates in competitive dance out of school and beta club and FCA in school. Emma has had an amazing experience in the yearbook class this year and she looks forward to the coming highschool years ahead of her.

Dalton Williams, Staff reporter

Dalton Williams is an 8th grade Yearbook staff member. This is his very first year doing yearbook and Panther Press. Dalton likes working on things related to the band, and going around and getting interviews.
