National History Day is a national competition. The project is theme based, and there are several ways it can be presented (Exhibit, Website, Performance, Historical Paper or Documentary). Two of our LCMS Panthers made it to the top 10 in the country! Neil Macmillian and Pranoy Roy placed in the top 10 in the country for their National History Day project. It is truly an achievement that they got so far, and their work definitely paid off.

The amount of effort they put into it was a lot. Pranoy said, “We quoted more than 25 sources, had a 6-foot-tall board, and a motorized 3D display.” They worked on the project from September all the way through June, working non-stop as they constantly tweaked and fixed things. It truly shows how hard work can pay off.
