What Are You Doing Over Winter Break?

Winter Break Winners! Going from classroom to classroom people usually say the same thing and the whole group agrees. However, when interviewing this group of students they had very different answers. Some were traveling, some were hanging out with their friends, some were doing nothing and some didn’t know what to do if they were doing something. “We are all super excited for break, doing whatever we want!” They came together and said.

With winter break right around the corner, lots of people are super excited. But what for? Are they traveling, doing something fun, or just excited to not have to do anymore school work?

With this we decided to interview 6th, 7th, and 8th graders to see what most people are doing.

For 6th graders we got:

60% of people doing nothing

20% of people doing sports related activities

20% of people traveling

For 7th graders we got:

60% of people are traveling

40% of people are doing nothing

For 8th graders we got:

20% of people are traveling

40% are doing nothing

10% are working

20% are having sleepovers with friends

Overall, most people aren’t doing much, but when asked, they are all super excited to have a break from school, and are super happy to be able to relax. What are you doing over break?

Adriana Campos is a 1st time yearbook writer. She is an 8th grader and enjoys reading and writing. In her free time she loves to play sports, including volleyball, listen to music, journal and talk to her friends. Adriana is excited to discover and learn new things about the yearbook and the staff!

Harper Varley, Writer

Harper Varley is going into her first year on the yearbook staff. She is entering seventh grade and is excited for the following year and its outcomes. Her favorite hobbies are painting, drawing, biking, reading, swimming, and riding her horse. Taking on her eleventh year of competitive horseback riding, she is moving up to jumping 2’6 in feet. She can’t wait to experience new things and explore outside of her comfort zone.
