Teacher of The Year 2025-2026

The 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year is finally announced! Mrs. Kuperman, one of our two band teachers, is honored to be the Teacher of the Year. She says, “I feel very honored to be the Teacher of the Year. To be honest, I am so happy that our band program and the hard-working students will receive some well-deserved attention and recognition.”

Every teacher at Lawton Chiles Middle School works hard to teach students and help them learn. Even though LCMS has so many amazing teachers, there can only be one Teacher of the Year. This year’s winner is Mrs. Kuperman, one of the band teachers. She works hard to teach students how to play instruments and play beautiful, exciting music. As the students advance to higher band levels, she teaches at faster paces. Mrs. Kuperman makes learning instruments engaging and enjoyable. Mrs. Kuperman truly deserves the honor of being Teacher of the Year!

Jax Nevarez, one of Mrs. Kuperman’s students, says, “Mrs. Kuperman deserved Teacher of the Year because she is the kindest, best teacher ever! She is always trying to help others even when she is dealing with so many things.”

Mila Kiray is a 7th grade yearbook photographer. She has been in yearbook for a year and a half. In Mila’s free time she likes to write fanfiction, draw, read manga, listen to music, and watch youtube.
