In LCMS students are recognized for straight As, the sports they play and the clubs they are in! Did you know though that there is also an award for student of the month?
These selected students go to a ceremony during 1st period where they are celebrated, receive a certificate, a donut party, and a coupon from one of our school sponsors! They also get a Student of the Month T-shirt! This might not sound very special but it really is. Teachers don’t pick a student from every class, each month the admin selects a group of teachers like all math, or all science and those selected teachers pick 2 students out of all of their classes! This month the Students of the Month were chosen by their science and math teachers!
Alex (6) was chosen by Ms. Goodman, her science teacher. She said, “I was very surprised that I got Student of the Month and happy at the same time.”
“Alexandra always walks in with a smile on her face and a positive attitude, gets good grades on all of her tests, and makes sure she understands what she is learning,” Ms. Goodman said.
