District 2 Thespian Competition

Thespians compete at the District 2 Thespian Competition.

This year, Troupe 88868 won their first Top Honors, thanks to Ace Kenny (8). Ace created a Costume Design for the show Alice In Wonderland, designing costumes for the Cheshire Cat, Alice, and the Queen of Hearts. “My favorite design was the Cheshire Cat, and I am so thankful that Mrs. T told me the questions judges may ask, because it led me to change some things about them,” Ace said.

Have you ever wondered what Mrs. T’s 6th period is? It’s Theatre 4! Theatre 4 is a class where students learn to be amazing actors/actresses or amazing technicians. On November 8th, our Theatre 4 students, a.k.a Thespians, went to a district competition and gave it their all, trying to get as high a score from the judges as possible. The scores include Good, Excellent, and Superior, Superior being the best, and Good being the worst. Our Thespians represent Troupe 88868 and have been working very hard on their events. We had almost every category filled with one person/group, other than Small and Large Group Musical Theatre and Pantomime. Overall, we got 16 Superiors, 18 Excellents, and our first Top Honor. Mrs. T is super proud of everyone who competed no matter what score they got.

Colton Fitch is a 8th grade member of the Yearbook Staff for the Panther Press. This is his 2nd year in the Yearbook class and hopes to make this yearbook the best one yet. He mainly focuses on organization and managing the staff and even Mrs. Brady, their advisor. In his free time, he enjoys playing Roblox and doing theatre.
