"My favorite character from The Outsiders is Johnny Cade"- Junie Densberger (7). At just 16 Johnny is a vital part of the greaser gang, and just like everyone, he has his secrets. These iconic characters have been recreated in the movie and musical and continue to wow readers and audiences in many ways. This year 7th graders are loving the book just like all the generations of 7th before them.

LCMS Student Emily Lentz is working on her civics worksheet, her partner next to her. Emily is a student in Mrs. Stone's 7th period. "It helped me understand how we made our rules and how Baron Montesquieu and John Locke thought about how government should be," Emily said.

Eleanor Cronin wins 2nd Place at the State History Fair

The State History Fair Competition is an annual, statewide activity that enhances the teaching and learning of history in middle and high schools.  Students across the state advance through school, county, and state competitions to advance to National History Day. Florida joins 49 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, and international schools in East and South Asia as an affiliate of National History Day® (NHD). NHD promotes history in the classroom by offering students the resources and support to do original research about people, ideas, and events of the past. One of our 8th graders, Eleanor Cronin, won 2nd place with her individual website and will compete at the National History Day.

Colton Fitch is a 8th grade member of the Yearbook Staff for the Panther Press. This is his 2nd year in the Yearbook class and hopes to make this yearbook the best one yet. He mainly focuses on organization and managing the staff and even Mrs. Brady, their advisor. In his free time, he enjoys playing Roblox and doing theatre.
