In 8th grade science, students used everything they learned throughout the school year for one big event: the frog dissection. Unlike the class, Ecology, which teaches students to mainly dissect animals like squids and fish, for some 8th graders, this is their first dissection. Before the upcoming day of the dissection, April 10th, students made paper models of their frogs to study. The models consisted of all of the parts of a frog, from the outer skin, to the heart. During the actual dissection, students are instructed by their science teacher on the steps and procedures necessary to dissect the frog the right way. They have to do things from cutting the tongue, opening the frog, and even popping the eyes out.
