April Fools is a day, held on April 1st, for all things jokes and tricks. Pranks are pulled and laughter is spread throughout the world. People want to make other people look like fools, like in the name. Most people celebrate April Fools day because they like causing mischief and making people laugh. When they pull these pranks they mostly shout “April fools!” to indicate they just pulled a prank. This day has been held for centuries. It resembles festivals such as the Hilaria of ancient Rome, on March 25, and the Holi celebration in India, ending on March 31st. From things like toothpaste Oreos to fake bugs people think up all sorts of things to cause craziness. The key to April Fools’ is making sure the jokes are lighthearted and don’t hurt anyone’s feelings.
