All around LCMS people play different sports, ranging from baseball, basketball, swimmers, and more! A more unknown group is Equestrians. Equestrians are people who do horse back riding as a sport. There are training days and competitions.
Harper Varley (7) said, “My Grandma started doing it and it carried throughout the generations. Plus, I always loved horses when I was a toddler before I started riding, they were all I ever asked for. “
You not only have to be a good rider, you also have to have find the right horse to compete! When they compete they have a series of things that they do.
Reese Opelt (7) said, “When I compete, I show in the Short/Long Stirrup Hunter and Equitation.”
The Short/Long stirrup is a series of jumps. While Equitation, she is judged on her form and how well she handles the horse. There we go, now LCMS has baseball players, basketball players, swimmers, equestrians, and more!
