“We’re going up, up ,up, it’s our moment,” You’ve probably heard these lyrics before. Maybe a friend sang them, or maybe you heard it on the radio. Maybe on social media, but the origin of those lyrics are from the song Golden from the new and popular movie: K-pop Demon Hunters.

K-pop Demon Hunters has broken many records, with its most famous song, Golden being number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and 4 more of its songs being in the top ten with Golden simultaneously. The list being Golden by Huntrix at number 1, Sodapop by The Saja Boys at number 3, Your Idol by The Saja Boys at number 4, How it’s done by Huntrix at number 7, and finally What it sounds like by Huntrix at number 10.
Even though it has been three months since its release on Netflix, K-pop Demon Hunter’s popularity hasn’t diminished at all. The film ranks as the most watched Netflix movie in history. How has this movie’s huge presence influenced our school?
What does our school sound like?

According to a recent poll at LCMS, 78% of students have seen K-pop Demon Hunters. But what about their review? Lana Atkinsone (7) says, “It’s really good, I like the songs in it a lot and I’m just obsessed with it.” Lana also got Mrs. Bond, who teaches Design, to watch the movie! “I told her about the songs, and she likes K-pop so I just assumed she’d like the movie too.”
K-pop Demon Hunters will probably continue to grow in popularity, and our school is ready to embrace this “Golden” era.
