Do you like to read? Battle of the Books is a club here at LCMS that reads a whole lot! The students in this club read all of the Sunshine State Books (SSYRA) , and go on a field trip at the end of the year to compete with the other schools’ Battle of the Books clubs. They get quizzed on the books they read in three rounds. But, it’s the beginning of the year, so students are reading and preparing! After a student finishes a book, they write down five questions about the book on a computer, so the club has a bank of questions to use when preparing for the competition! “Everybody is friendly and we get to read and hang out together,” says Trevina Massaud (8).
