Swords clashing, demons dying, tragic backstories…Luckily, this isn’t happening on earth because it would be quite concerning if it were. These descriptions sound familiar, huh! Why don’t you take a guess? …It’s not K-pop-Demon-Hunters … .If you guessed Demon Slayer (Produced by Ufotable), you’d be correct! For context, Demon Slayer is an anime (A Japanese cartoon show) that originated from a manga (A Japanese comic) with the same plot and name. Demon Slayer’s anime is almost done, but for the final arc there are 3 movies to cover it! On September 12th this year, the first out of those three movies was released. People could see it in theaters in the original language (Japanese) with subtitles, or just in the English dubbing. On opening day of the movie, there were specialized popcorn buckets and drink cups to offer specifically for the movie; they had quickly sold out. On opening day, approximately 4.5 million people visited, and 33 million dollars were earned, making it the opening day that earned the most for an anime film. The movie however wasn’t so short, it had an approximate time of 2 and a half hours. Many people dressed up for the movie. If you’re thinking of checking it out, you should. But be sure to bring tissues!
