Say Cheese! Coach Capp and Coach Stone are returning coaches from previous years. They get to experience new players and make them better at the same time. Games are coming up and they are more prepared then ever before! "I love that volleyball is a team sport, and when they play as a TRUE TEAM they can do great things together. "
Coach Capp
In her 5th year of coaching volleyball, Coach Capp helps the boys volleyball team get better and better each year. From the start she never knew much about volleyball, but with the school needing a coach, her and Coach Stone decided to step up to the plate. As a mom to kids who plays sports, and also being the coach for other sports like track and cross country, this led her to be the encouraging, and tough coach she is today. Since she didn’t have any prior volleyball experience she had lots of difficulties actually coaching effectively but after watching tutorials, and reading books, she improved her coaching game.
Coach Stone
In Coach Stone’s 20th year coaching volleyball he is still with LCMS and stronger than ever, leading our boys JV and Varsity team to victory. While Coach Stone started off playing another sport he eventually couldn’t play anymore. Once he came to LCMS he had the opportunity to be the volleyball coach, so he stepped up and is still a coach to this day. The reason he became a coach was to pass on the fun to others. With being a coach, there is bound to be a time where a memory, or anything in general sticks out. For Coach Stone, learning to teach the players while also meeting them, and their families, was and still is to this day, his favorite part about coaching.
