Ms. Brady
Day One of Elite Weekend where the girls were watching "20th Century Girl" on Netflix.
Every year in September, a select few of the yearbook kids go to a workshop called Elite Weekend to work on the yearbook. It’s a 3 day, 2 night trip to a hotel where they work all weekend. Mrs. Brady took 8 girls this year: Summer Scott (8), Sophia Thomas (8), Audrey Aubel (8), Emily Kushnir (8), Audrey Russell (8), Kendall Truong (7), Olivia Kramer (7), and Mila Kiray (7). And while it is a weekend full of hard work, it’s also a weekend full of fun.
Here’s a first hand experience of their day:
6:00 – wake up and Starbucks (Unless it’s Summer she wakes up at 7:30 to get Starbucks)
Every time the yearbook staff go to one of these conferences they all run on sugar and coffee due to how late they stay up.
7:00 – Breakfast and Movies
After the initial Starbucks run, almost everyone hangs out in one of the hotel rooms to eat breakfast. Whether it be spicy noodles, doughnuts, or micro-plastic chicken they all had some wacky breakfast. And during day 2 they watched the beginning of a movie (Love Untangled on Netflix). Day 3 they finished Love Untangled.
9:00 – Classes and sugar highs
Everyday the Elite Weekend professionals taught the students something new that could help their yearbook be the best it could and to fuel the kids. Mrs. Brady provided lots of sugar and snacks too.

12:00 – Lunch and even more movies
They only had lunch on day 2. Summer’s mom made grilled cheese sandwiches and the girls watched Love Untangled.
1:30 – Classes again
From about 1:30 to 5:00 the girls had classes again, but this time Kendall and Mila went to the photo track to work on photography.

5:00 – dinner, pool, and more
On day 1 the girls had pizza for dinner and watched a movie called “20th Century Girl” on Netflix and most of them (Sophia) were crying by the end of it. On day 2 they all had Chick-fil-a catering at the pool and ended the night with finishing “Love Untangled” and playing a reenactment game Audrey Aubel made up called “✨Yeah✨”.
9:00 to 2:00 AM – Sleep at last
The girls were split up into 2 rooms so the time they went to bed ranged from 9:30 to 2:00 in the morning.
