Last Saturday, September 13th, some of our chorus 3 students were on their way to Millennium middle school to audition for the all-state Choir! They had a written test and a vocal part. Good news for them, five of the six students have been given the opportunity to move to the next stage in the process! Our very own chorus teacher Ms. Swallow has been leading them on their journey. “I have had all state students in the past, but this year it was the largest group and most successful group to audition,” she said.
Sophia Glaser (next to Ms. Swallow) was the only 7th grader to audition. “The first exam was just listening through the vocal recordings and the second one I had to sing 32 measures in 4 lines. I was a little bit nervous, and I didn’t get all of them right, but I still tried my best.”
Let’s hope that all of the students that made it through are able to continue on their journey and have a fun time doing it. Good luck panthers!
