Every summer, Mr. and Mrs. Bond take as many students as they can to Washington D.C for a history trip for 5 days. This year, they got to visit a lot of historic monuments including The Lincoln Memorial, Washington monument, 9/11 memorial and the Vietnam Memorial. The DC trip is also very educational and this year they even took a plane to DC, which is extra special because they usually take a bus.
Jillian Ellmyer stated, “The Lincoln memorial was my favorite place to visit because it’s always been my dream to see it and I got my dream photo.”
Brayton Bond states, “ My favorite place was The Washington monument because it was the first time we had ever done it.”
These were just a few of the students’ favorite places they visited during the trip. In addition to learning lots, the students all made many new friends and new memories.
Mrs. Bond says, “ My favorite place of all the trips was the Korean Memorial because of how detailed and impactful it was because they look like real people walking through the battle field.”
Mr. Bond states, “It’s an amazing experience and I like to see how the students learn and have fun.”
