6th Grade Tortilla Story

Ms. Sanchez is helping her students with making the tortillas for a tasty treat in class!

Do you smell that? It’s the delicious scent of cooking tortillas! The 6th grade World History teachers, Mr. Stone, Ms. Capp, and Ms. Sanchez, were cooking up a fun activity to wrap up learning about the settlers of Mesoamerica. On Monday 5/5, and Tuesday 5/6, the 6th grade hallway smelled like breakfast as the teachers helped their students mix dough, press it flat, and then heat it up, making a perfect snack. Yum!

Brielle Thacker is a 6th grader that joined the yearbook staff this year. Her main focus in yearbook is writing articles and stories; she enjoys writing both in the yearbook and at home. In Brielle’s free time, she enjoys writing her books.

Mila Kiray is a 6th grader in the yearbook staff. She has been in yearbook for about a full quarter now. Mila typically works on writing stories and getting interviews, but from time to time, she also gets photos of people for spreads. In Mila’s free time, she enjoys writing fanfiction, drawing, and watching youtube shorts.

Olivia Kramer is a 1st year in the yearbook and newsletter. She is a 6th grader who likes to take pictures and design pages. Her free time is spent on reading books, playing outside, drawing and listening to music.
