What was it: Hydroponics camp was a project-based learning camp hosted by Mrs. Maiden and Mrs. Higley.
When was it: They met over summer break: June 3rd through the 6th.
What did they do: They learned about hydroponics, pH, and vertical farming. Then, the campers built their own hydroponic machines. At the end of the camp, all of them did a presentation to the Oviedo mayor, Megan Sladek, explaining hydroponics, the benefits, and why Oviedo should switch to hydroponic farming.

Before they can plant, students paint and decorate the boxes. Sydney Olsen, Jocelyn Shaw and Kaitlyn Davis were working on their box. (Luke Davis)
